Mortimer J. Walters B.C.L.
Mortimer Walters is the Executive Chairman of the WKI Group.
Mortimer was conferred with a BCL degree from University College Dublin in 1980 and qualified as an Irish Solicitor in 1983.
He was the founder of a niche commercial law practice now located in the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin. His law practice was largely concentrated on cross-border transactions and devising schemes that made use of Ireland’s competitive tax regime. In 1999, Mortimer decided to take the advice that he had been giving to his clients and relocated to the Principality of Andorra.
Apart from his professional qualification as a lawyer, Mortimer has also served as an executive director of several large companies in the USA, Europe and Asia taking responsibility for corporate finance as well as planning and development of exit/disposal strategies for shareholders requiring tax efficient solutions. This experience has created a trusted worldwide network of financial, legal and taxation resources from which WKI client’s benefit.
Mortimer qualified as a UK Solicitor in 1995 and is currently a non- practicing member of the Law Society of England and Wales. He is the executive chairman of the WKI Group and is a member of the International Tax Planning Association and the International Bar Association.
