More accountants will be necessary when the new Accounting Law goes into effect

28/12/07 - With the passage last week of the Accounting Law many more professional accountants will be needed. There are 7000 companies registered in the official Trade Registry and until now strict accounting was voluntary.

There will be a need for more professionalism when preparing the annual books (beginning in 2009) that will include the balance, profit and loss statement, changes in net wealth, cash flow, etc. That as well as bookkeeping, the accountant will have to act as a controller and auditor.
